Responsible Gaming
Gambling is entertainment you pay for, not a way to earn money. Over a long enough run the house edge decides the outcome, and every session should start from a figure you can lose without it changing anything about your month. This page covers the JeetCity responsible gambling tools available to Canadian players, what the operator publishes and what it does not, the warning signs worth taking seriously, and the free provincial help lines.
What the licence requires and what the operator publishes
Player protection tools are a condition of the Curaçao Gaming Authority licence held by Dama N.V. for this brand. Deposit limits, session controls, cool-off periods and self-exclusion have to exist. That is the requirement.
What the operator does not do is document them. No public page sets out which limits exist, what values they accept, how long each takes to apply or how to cancel one. A limit you cannot find is a limit you will not use. Ask live chat for the full list and the exact steps, then repeat the request in writing to [email protected] so you hold a dated record of the answer. The JeetCity contact channels are the only official routes.
The control tools and how to use them
The table covers the standard set required under the licence. The operator publishes no specifications of its own, so treat the third column as a route to follow rather than a screen-by-screen guide.
| Tool | What it does | How to switch it on | What to watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps what you can add per day, week or month; deposits are refused until the period resets. | Account settings where exposed; otherwise request it from live chat and confirm by email. | Lowering should apply at once, raising should carry a delay. If an increase lands instantly, that limit is advisory, so set a tighter one. |
| Loss limit | Caps net losses rather than deposits, which is the more honest number if you redeposit winnings. | By request through support; rarely a self-service setting. | Ask how “loss” is calculated: deposits minus withdrawals, or wagered minus returned. The two give very different ceilings. |
| Session time limit | Ends the session after a set number of minutes and logs you out. | Account settings, or a written request to support. | Logging straight back in defeats it, so pair it with a cool-off. |
| Reality check | A pop-up at a chosen interval showing elapsed time and, usually, your net position. | Request the interval; 30 or 60 minutes is typical. | Its value is the interruption. Dismissing it unread is itself information. |
| Cool-off | A short freeze, commonly 24 hours to several weeks, after which access returns automatically. | Request in writing, stating the exact duration. | Marketing email should stop for the term. If promotions keep arriving, say so in writing. |
| Self-exclusion | Closes access for a long fixed term — six months, a year, permanent — and cannot be reversed during it. | In writing to support, wording spelled out. See the section below. | Get written confirmation that it is active. A chat conversation is not enough. |
Self-exclusion: put it in writing and keep the copy
This section exists because of something on the record. A player in British Columbia has a documented self-exclusion request with this operator dating from 27 March 2026 that they were still unable to get actioned. One case is not proof of a pattern. It is reason enough to protect yourself procedurally.
Do not ask in a live chat window and walk away. Send it by email to [email protected] and make the message unambiguous:
- Use the words self-exclusion. “Please close my account” can be treated as a routine closure and reversed a week later.
- State the exact term, whether six months, twelve months or permanent, and add that you do not consent to it being lifted early.
- Include the account email, username and registered name.
- Ask for written confirmation that the exclusion is active, with the date applied.
- Ask to be removed from all marketing communications.
Save the sent message and the reply. If nothing is confirmed within a few days, follow up on the same thread — one thread with timestamps is what an escalation rests on. The complaint routes, including the Curaçao Gaming Authority, are on our page about the regulator behind these obligations.
Protect yourself outside the operator too. Blocking software such as Gamban, GamBlock or BetBlocker works at device level and needs nobody’s approval, and several Canadian card issuers offer gambling transaction blocks.
Signs that gambling has stopped being entertainment
Problem gambling rarely announces itself. It shows up as changes in behaviour, and those who notice earliest are usually already uneasy enough to be reading this.
- Chasing losses. Depositing again right after a losing session to get back to even, rather than because you planned to play.
- Borrowing to play: credit, a payday loan, money from family, or letting a bill run late so the balance stays available.
- Hiding it. Deleting history, playing when nobody is around, understating losses, keeping a second account or card.
- Playing to escape, meaning you open the casino because of stress, boredom or a bad day rather than for the game.
- Rising stakes for the same feeling. Bets that felt significant three months ago now feel flat, so they get bigger.
- Broken limits: setting a budget and passing it repeatedly, or stopping “after the next spin” and not stopping.
- Life displaced, with sleep, work, study or relationships giving way to time spent playing.
- Relief instead of enjoyment. Winning feels like relief, and checking the balance brings dread.
Two or three of these together are worth acting on. You need not be in crisis to be entitled to help.

Age rules by province
The minimum gambling age is set provincially. It is 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec, and 19 everywhere else — British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
Age is confirmed during identity verification rather than at sign-up, so an underage account can exist for a while. It will be caught at the withdrawal, with the balance forfeited. If minors use your devices, lock your accounts and do not save passwords in a shared browser. How age is checked is on our identity checks and why they exist page; Ontario access is blocked entirely, explained under where the brand accepts players.
If someone close to you is gambling
Family members carry much of this and often wait too long. Every service in the table takes calls from partners, parents, adult children and friends, and you need neither the gambler’s permission nor their account details.
Protect the household finances first, separating accounts and removing shared credit access, because financial damage compounds faster than anything else. Do not clear debts repeatedly; paying off a balance removes the consequence that might have prompted change. Talk about specific behaviour rather than character. And get support for yourself: Gam-Anon and provincial family programmes exist because the strain is real.
Habits that keep it entertainment
- Decide the amount before you open the site, and treat it as spent once you deposit.
- Never deposit money needed for rent, bills, food or debt payments.
- Set a time limit as well as a money limit; long sessions cost more than large bets.
- Do not play while drinking, angry or unable to sleep.
- Keep a record of deposits and withdrawals for a month; the total is rarely what people estimate.
- Bonus wagering, 40× on the welcome offer here, means the balance is not yours until it clears. Terms are on the JeetCity bonus terms page.
FAQ
How do I set a deposit limit at JeetCity?
Check the account settings first, since where the option is exposed it applies there. The operator publishes no guide, so if you cannot find it, ask live chat for the exact path and send the same request in writing to [email protected]. Keep the confirmation.
How do I self-exclude?
Email [email protected] using the words “self-exclusion”, stating the exact term and that you do not consent to early reversal, with your account email, username and registered name. Ask for dated written confirmation and keep every message. Given the documented British Columbia case from 27 March 2026, back it up with device-level blocking software and a bank gambling block.
Where can I get free help in Canada?
Call your provincial line: ConnexOntario 1-866-531-2600, Gambling Support BC 1-888-795-6111, GameSense Alberta 1-800-272-8876, Jeu: aide et référence in Quebec 1-800-461-0140, AFM Manitoba 1-800-463-1554, or Saskatchewan’s Problem Gambling Help Line 1-800-306-6789. All are free, confidential and unconnected to any casino.
What is the legal gambling age in my province?
Eighteen in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. Nineteen in every other province and territory. The age is verified during identity checks, and an account opened below the threshold has its balance forfeited at that check.
If you are weighing up whether to play at all, read the operator assessment on the JeetCity Casino Canada start page.
